Visit policies & additional charges
- Weekends: +$3 per hour.
- Holidays: +$6–$10 per hour. Desire will confirm the applicable holiday premium in your estimate.
- Mileage and errands: mileage beyond 10 miles is billed at the then-current IRS business mileage rate. For service July 1–December 31, 2026, the rate is $0.76 per mile. Desire will confirm the applicable rate and billable mileage before the service.
- Cancellations: less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a charge equal to the 3-hour minimum.
These rates and policies apply to private-duty care in Kansas and Missouri. Final pricing depends on the services and schedule. Your estimate will explain the applicable premiums and charges.
